The best time to visit Rome is from April to June and September to October, when the weather is mild, crowds are lighter, and the city's historic sites and cafés are most enjoyable. The second-best time is late fall and early winter (November to December), offering cooler temperatures and a more tranquil experience.
During the summer months (July and August), expect hot, humid weather, larger crowds, and higher prices. However, you’ll find lively festivals and vibrant street life, though it's best to plan sightseeing early in the morning or late in the evening to avoid the midday heat.
